Cultural Exchange

Celebrating the diversity that makes the Americas extraordinary

Culture as Commerce

Culture and commerce have always been more deeply intertwined than economists typically acknowledge. The products a culture produces, from its music and film to its fashion and food, carry economic value that extends far beyond the immediate sale. They build reputation, attract tourism, signal quality, and open doors that trade delegations and tariff negotiations cannot.

ATH believes that the cultural wealth of the Americas is one of its most underutilized economic assets. The continent is home to dozens of distinct indigenous traditions, multiple colonial heritages, waves of immigration from every region of the world, and the ongoing creative synthesis that all of that diversity produces. The result is a cultural landscape of extraordinary richness and global appeal.

The Americas Magazine

The Americas Magazine is ATH flagship cultural publication, produced monthly and distributed across all 35 member nations. Each issue features long-form journalism on business and trade, alongside reporting on art, architecture, music, food, design, and the social trends shaping life across the continent.

The magazine is not designed to celebrate the Americas uncritically. Good journalism requires honest reporting, and the Americas has its share of challenges. But the magazine is committed to the belief that the stories of this continent, told well and distributed widely, build the kind of mutual understanding that makes trade and cooperation sustainable over time.
